Blue and red contrast, beckoning off Lamar

North or south, it’s never far

Idaho potatoes stacked in anticipation 

Burgers ordered with elation

The buns are simple, sturdy to support

Patties described within folklore

Number four and make it a combo 

Fries consumed on the drive home

Por favor, con todo

Cheese and pickles and grilled onions galore

Black bean burger with the integrity intact

Satisfyingly greasy, as a matter of fact

Veggie burger, O veggie burger 

Do your best to soak up the booze 

Veggie burger I proclaim thee, 

Nourishment for the soul

Fast food kingdoms and paper bags of treasure

It appears that vegetarians do indeed seek pleasure

Of drive-thru windows and instant gratification,

A P. Terry’s burger is a cause for celebration
